Super Mario Bounce is one of those weird little Flash games that twists the usual Mario formula. You’ve got a limited number of bounces per level, go over, and you lose a life. No stomping enemies here, which threw me off at first. Instead, you’re grabbing mushrooms and shells for points while warp pipes launch you halfway across the screen like a trampoline.
Watch out for the star mechanic, though. If it’s red, you’ve gotta hit the ‘P’ block to turn it green before grabbing it. Took me a couple tries to figure that out. The physics feel janky in that nostalgic Flash game way, but once you get the rhythm, bouncing Mario around becomes weirdly satisfying.
