Super Mario Flash 2 nails that classic Super Mario World feel better than any other Flash game I’ve played. You start off stomping Goombas and bouncing off Koopas just like the original, but the real fun kicks in when you find Yoshi—he’s not just there for show. Swallow a red shell, and suddenly you’re spitting fire at everything. The overworld map slowly unlocks as you beat levels, and yeah, Charging Chuck still throws footballs at you like an annoying gym teacher.
It’s not perfect—some of the physics feel a tiny bit off if you’re picky—but for a Flash game, it’s shockingly close to the real thing. If you miss the SNES days, this’ll scratch that itch.
