Super Mario Star Scramble flips the usual Mario formula—no princess to save, no straightforward dash to the flagpole. Instead, you’re hunting down stars scattered across each level, and some are sneaky little things. The exit won’t open until you grab enough, so you’ll be doubling back, climbing higher, or even waiting for the right moment to snag one that’s just out of reach.
At first, I kept running straight ahead like in a normal Mario level, only to realize half the stars were hidden behind me. Some need precise jumps, others are tucked behind breakable blocks—it’s a scavenger hunt with that classic platforming feel. The levels tell you exactly how many stars you need, but figuring out where they’re hiding? That’s the fun part.
