Play Super Mario World - Eyeless (director's cut) Online
Jump into a creepily familiar Mario World where every character’s eyes are just... gone. Same great platforming, but now you’ll flinch when faceless Bowser lunges at you.

Ever played Super Mario World so many times you could do it blindfolded? Well, this ROM hack takes that idea a little too literally. Someone went and erased Mario’s eyes—along with every other character’s—and the result is equal parts hilarious and unsettling. The first time you see a blank-faced Yoshi staring back at you, it’s… an experience.
Surprisingly, the gameplay holds up just fine (turns out, you don’t need pupils to stomp Goombas). The Director’s Cut smooths out some of the original hack’s rough edges and sneaks in a few extra weird surprises—like, oh, a certain boss fight that gets even creepier when you realize nobody’s blinking. It’s still the same tight platforming you remember, just with an extra layer of "what am I even looking at?"
Not an official Nintendo thing, obviously, but if you’ve worn out your SNES cartridges and need a fresh dose of Mario absurdity, this one’s hard to forget—eyes or no eyes.
