Play Super Mario World (hack) on Snes Online

You know every jump in the original? This hack throws curveballs—pipes spit fire at weird angles, ghost houses mess with your head, and Yoshi finds new ways to be ridiculous. Still feels like home, just... caffeinated.

Game Overview

Super Mario World came out on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed and published by Nintendo. It was a defining game for the console, building on the side scrolling platforming of its predecessors with a larger, more interconnected world map to explore.

You control Mario, or sometimes Luigi, running and jumping through levels filled with Koopas, Goombas, and new enemies like the football charging Chargin' Chucks. The main goal is to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser by progressing through the seven worlds of Dinosaur Land. Key mechanics include riding and utilizing the various colored Yoshis, each with their own special ability, like the fire-spitting Red Yoshi or the ground pounding Blue Yoshi. The game also introduced the spin jump, which can break certain blocks and defeat spiked enemies. The pacing is generally brisk, though some of the secret exits and Star Road paths offer a significant challenge. It feels responsive and inventive, with each new stage introducing a clever twist on the core mechanics.
