Super Tennis came out for the Super Nintendo in 1991, developed by Tokyo Shoseki. You control a tennis player from an isometric view, moving them around the court to hit the ball. The main goal is to win matches by outscoring opponents in tournaments. Key mechanics include charging up your shots by holding the button for more power, and using different button presses to perform lobs, slices, and flat drives. The pacing is brisk, and the computer opponents offer a decent challenge that ramps up noticeably. It feels responsive and straightforward, making for a solid, no-fuss tennis experience.
