Game Overview
Super Troll Islands is one of those weirdly charming SNES platformers starring those little naked troll dolls with the neon hair. At first, the whole level’s covered in this animated fog—you’ve gotta run around, climbing ladders and hopping platforms in the right order to clear chunks of it. Once you do, the screen bursts into these super bright, almost gaudy backgrounds. It’s got all the usual stuff—enemies that just kinda wander into you, power-ups, the works—but the whole mist-clearing gimmick makes it feel different. Kinda like someone took a generic platformer and gave it a weird little twist.
Honestly, the trolls themselves are just there for the license, but the gameplay’s oddly satisfying once you get the hang of it.
