You control a lone soldier fighting through hostile alien worlds. Your goal is to survive each stage, defeat bosses, and ultimately stop an alien threat. The game gives you a versatile main weapon with multiple firing modes, including a wide spread shot and a focused laser. You also get a grappling hook for swinging across gaps and a temporary invincibility roll that crushes enemies in your path. Levels are fast and packed with enemies; the difficulty is high but fair. It feels intense and responsive, like the console itself is firing on all cylinders.
