Play SuperKarts Online
Race through colorful tracks, pick your driver, collect power-ups, and try to finish first while dodging aggressive opponents in this classic arcade racer from 1995.
SuperKarts came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Lankhor. It was one of those early racing games you'd load up after school, a product of its time with colorful, pixelated tracks and a distinctly mid-90s aesthetic. It didn't try to be a simulation; it was just a straightforward arcade racer that ran on the hardware we had back then.
You pick a driver, each with their own slightly wobbly kart, and race through a series of themed tracks, from crowded city streets to winding coastal roads. The main goal is simple: finish first. The handling is loose and slide-heavy, making every sharp turn a careful balance of tapping the brakes and counter-steering. You can collect power-ups scattered on the track, like temporary speed boosts or oil slicks to trip up opponents. The AI is aggressive; rivals will shove you into walls or zip past if you hesitate. It’s chaotic and a little unforgiving, but there’s a genuine thrill in finally nailing a perfect lap after wiping out half a dozen times.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
