Superman Returns on the DS is one of those games where you immediately feel like the Man of Steel—soaring over Metropolis, punching through buildings (whoops), and zipping around like you own the sky. The controls take a second to get used to, but once you do, pulling off heat vision mid-flight or catching falling civilians becomes weirdly satisfying.
It’s not all perfect—some of the ground combat feels a little clunky, and Lex’s goons get repetitive after a while. But honestly? Just flying around the city, weaving between skyscrapers, makes up for it. You’ll probably spend your first 10 minutes ignoring missions just to see how fast you can dive-bomb into the Daily Planet.
If you’ve ever wanted to pretend you’re Superman during a boring commute, this is the closest you’ll get on a DS.
