Game Overview

Syndicate: American Revolt came out in 1993 as an expansion to the original Syndicate, published by Electronic Arts for MS-DOS. It was a time when isometric strategy games were gaining traction, and this one fit right into that niche without much fanfare. You got a handful of new missions set across a fractured United States, continuing the cyberpunk themes the base game established.

You control a team of four agents, outfitted with cybernetic enhancements and heavy weaponry, moving through city streets and corporate facilities screen by screen. Your main goal is to complete objectives like assassinating targets or destroying key assets, often while fending off enemy agents and police. Signature mechanics include persuading civilians to join your cause using a Persuadatron device, and researching new technologies between missions to upgrade your squad's gear. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can spike sharply if you're not careful with positioning and equipment choices. It feels tense and tactical, demanding quick decisions in firefights while managing long-term resources.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
