Play Syvalion (Europe) Online
Pilot a golden snake-dragon through neon mazes, whipping your segmented body around bullets while everything tries to kill you. It’s clunky at first, then suddenly makes perfect, chaotic sense.

Syvalion came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed and published by Taito. It was part of that wave of arcade-style games that felt a bit different from the platformers and RPGs dominating the system at the time, offering a more abstract and demanding kind of challenge.
You control a long, serpentine dragon made of glowing segments, flying through a series of tight, multi-directional scrolling tunnels. Your main goal is simply to survive each stage, navigating the narrow, maze-like corridors while destroying enemies and collecting power-ups to extend your body and increase your firepower. The signature mechanics are the unwieldy, momentum-based movement of your long body, which you must carefully whip around corners to avoid crashing, and the constant threat of your tail being shot off, shortening your length and reducing your attack power. The pacing is relentless and the difficulty is steep, demanding precise control and quick reactions. It feels like trying to steer a live wire through a burning circuit board.
