I remember picking up T2: The Arcade Game for the Super Nintendo back in 1993. It was developed by Probe Software, and it was one of those licensed games that tried to bring the arcade experience home. At the time, it felt like a decent attempt to capture the movie's action on the console, though it was clearly a product of its era, competing with other shooters on the platform.

You control a lone soldier fighting through waves of Skynet's machines, moving from screen to screen in a strictly linear path. The main goal is simple: survive each stage, eliminate every enemy in your path, and eventually confront the T-1000. You primarily use a submachine gun with unlimited ammo, but you can pick up temporary power-ups like a spread shot or a more powerful explosive round. The pacing is relentless; enemies pour in from both sides of the screen, and you have to keep moving and shooting to avoid getting overwhelmed. It's a straightforward run-and-gun experience that feels hectic and demanding, especially in later levels where the difficulty spikes noticeably. Playing it now, it has that specific early 90s charm, a bit clunky but still oddly engaging in short bursts.
