Play Taskmaker (MAC Executor) Online
You start as some rookie doing fetch quests for the TaskMaker, but soon he’s asking you to off a prisoner—turns out this guy’s sketchy as hell. The dungeons are packed with weird jokes, like fighting "Spoiled Lunch" monsters and finding ATMs in medieval towns.
Taskmaker is this weird little MS-DOS RPG where you play as some fresh-faced hero trying to prove yourself to the so-called "TaskMaker" – basically the local ruler who gives you progressively harder fetch quests. At first it feels like standard fantasy stuff: go grab a magic gem from a dungeon, fight some goblins, that sort of thing. But then things take a turn when your mentor casually asks you to murder a prisoner, and suddenly you realize this guy's been shady the whole time.
The dungeons are full of bizarre little details that make it feel like the developers had a sense of humor – you'll find ATMs in medieval towns, fight monsters called "Spoiled Lunch," and pick up completely useless junk like butter knives. There are seven different stats to manage (including "Spirit" and "Stamina"), and combat's simple but satisfying once you get the hang of the spell system. The real kicker? After you finally overthrow the TaskMaker, the game unlocks a dungeon editor so you can build your own weird little adventures.
It's janky, charming, and way darker than it first appears – definitely one of those cult classic RPGs that sticks with you.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
