Game Overview
Tomb of the TaskMaker is a classic MS-DOS RPG and the sequel to TaskMaker, expanding on the original with deeper mechanics and a richer world. Years after the TaskMaker’s death, players assume the role of Castle Hall’s protector, aiding villages by retrieving stolen items from monsters—only to later uncover a plot involving the TaskMaker’s rumored resurrection. The twist reveals a betrayal by the Captain Guard, leading to a climactic showdown.This sequel introduces significant improvements, including three playable classes (fighter, mage, and thief), a choice of gender, and enhanced graphics. The world is larger, with new dungeons and villages to explore, though the maps remain static. Despite its rushed development and lack of updates until a 2008 re-release, the game remains a notable evolution of its predecessor, offering greater replayability and a more polished experience for fans of early dungeon-crawling RPGs.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
