Game Overview

Okay, so Tomb Raider (C) on the NES is this weird little artifact—like someone tried to cram Lara Croft into an 8-bit platformer before she was even Lara Croft. You’re running left to right, jumping over spikes (of course), and stabbing mummies with a tiny dagger. The controls are stiff in that classic NES way, so you’ll probably faceplant into a few traps before getting the timing down.

It’s got that janky charm of unofficial cartridges from back in the day—the pyramids are just brown blocks, and the "treasure" looks like golden pixels. But there’s something weirdly satisfying about uncovering secret passages behind obviously fake walls. If you’re into gaming oddities or just love seeing how franchises got mangled in weird ports, it’s a fun curiosity. Just don’t go in expecting anything close to the real thing.
