Game Overview

I picked up Tomb Raider: Legend on the PSP back in 2006, a portable version of the Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Interactive release. It was a solid action-adventure for the system, fitting right into that era of bringing console-scale games to handhelds without losing too much of the core appeal.

You control Lara Croft as she explores ancient ruins, solves environmental puzzles, and battles mercenaries and supernatural threats. The main goal is to uncover the truth behind an ancient artifact tied to her past. Key mechanics include using her dual pistols and other weapons in combat, swinging across gaps with a magnetic grapple, and navigating treacherous platforming sections. The pacing is fairly brisk, mixing exploration with quick, intense fights, though some sections can feel a bit cramped on the smaller screen. It feels responsive and engaging, especially when you pull off a tricky jump or solve a multi-step puzzle.
