Konami released Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus for the Game Boy Advance in 2004. It was one of many licensed games from that era, built to capitalize on the animated series' popularity. The handheld version offered a scaled down but recognizable take on the console experience, fitting right in with other action platformers of the time.
You control one of the four turtles, switching between them to use their unique weapons and special attacks. The goal is to fight through waves of Foot Clan enemies and larger bosses across side scrolling stages. Movement is key; you jump across gaps, slide under low obstacles, and use each turtle's signature move to break certain blocks or hit out of reach switches. The levels are fairly linear but packed with enemies, requiring quick reflexes to avoid taking too much damage. It feels like a straightforward, energetic brawler that captures the simple fun of being a turtle in a half shell.
