Game Overview

Remember that old TMNT arcade game from the late 80s? This MS-DOS version is basically that, but for your home computer. You pick your favorite turtle (I always went with Donatello—his long-range bo staff hits felt unfair in the best way) and start smashing through waves of Foot Soldiers in classic side-scrolling beat-em-up action.

The controls are simple—attack, jump, and a few special moves—but there’s some sneaky depth. You can toss enemies overhead, bounce off walls, or even slam bad guys into fire hydrants for extra damage. The levels are packed with destructible stuff too, like parking meters and exploding barrels, which makes every fight feel chaotic in the best way.

Boss fights are where it really shines, though. Bebop and Rocksteady show up early to wreck your day, and later you’ll take on Krang in his weird little android body before facing Shredder himself. The two-player co-op is where the magic happens—just try not to accidentally smack your friend when you’re both wailing on a crowd of Foot Soldiers.

It’s not perfect (the DOS version’s music is a little rough compared to the arcade), but if you grew up with these turtles, it’s pure nostalgia in pixel form.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
