Play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II - The Manhattan Project (Japan) Online

Pick your turtle, smash through waves of Foot Clan goons, and argue with your friend over pizza—classic arcade brawling with each turtle’s moves feeling just right. That final Shredder fight? Still brutal.

Game Overview

Remember when the Ninja Turtles games were just pure, unfiltered arcade brawling? The Manhattan Project is peak TMNT on the NES—way smoother than the first one, with that perfect mix of ridiculous plot (they lifted Manhattan into the sky? Sure, okay) and satisfying combat. You pick your turtle, mash buttons through waves of Foot Clan goons, and occasionally yell at your friend for stealing all the pizza power-ups.

What I love: each turtle actually feels different. Donnie’s bo staff keeps enemies at a distance, while Raph’s up-close sai attacks are brutal. And the bosses? Shredder’s final form is still burned into my brain from childhood. It’s got that classic co-op chaos where someone always ends up accidentally hitting the other player, but you’re having too much fun to care. If you’ve got nostalgia for neon bandanas and questionable sewer hygiene, this one holds up.
