The touchscreen makes betting and checking feel oddly satisfying, though the graphics are about as basic as it gets.

What surprised me was how well the multiplayer works if you’ve got friends with copies. Passing a single cartridge around for hot-seat play gets chaotic fast, especially when someone starts bluffing with a terrible hand. The AI isn’t genius-level, but it’s good enough to make you think twice before going all-in on a pair of twos.

If you just want poker without fancy animations or story modes, this does the job. Just don’t expect it to replace a real table.
