Game Overview

I remember picking up The Humans 3: Evolution Lost in Time back in 1995, part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series published by GameTek. It was one of those quirky puzzle platformers that felt right at home on the platform, a time when games were often more about clever ideas than flashy graphics.

You control a tribe of cavemen, moving them one by one through side scrolling levels filled with obstacles and enemies. The main goal is to rescue Albert Einstein from aliens, which involves stacking your cavemen into human ladders to reach higher areas, lighting fires to scare off creatures, and using tools like spears and rocks. The pacing is deliberate, almost puzzle like, and the difficulty can be unforgiving if you misplace a caveman or mistime a jump. It feels like a strange but satisfying blend of strategy and platforming, where every screen demands careful thought and coordination.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
