Play The Immortal Online
Explore a dark labyrinth, solve puzzles, fight enemies, and avoid traps as you search for your missing master in The Immortal.
I first played The Immortal back in the early 90s on MS-DOS, a game developed by Sandcastle and published by Electronic Arts. It was a time when isometric perspective was still a novelty, and this game used it to pull you into a dark, claustrophobic fantasy world that felt different from the typical side-scrolling adventures of the era.
You control an unnamed wizard's apprentice, navigating a deadly labyrinth to find your missing master. The game is played screen by screen, with each new area presenting a puzzle or a threat, often both. You'll use a sword and a bow for combat, but timing and positioning are everything; a wrong move means a quick, graphic death. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, as you search for keys, decipher runes, and avoid instant-kill traps. It feels like a tense, calculated crawl through a place that truly wants you dead.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
