Play The Las Vegas EGA Casino Version 2.0 Online

You start with a fake cash pile and bounce between pixelated blackjack tables, clunky slots, and surprisingly tense poker—all with that weirdly satisfying DOS keyboard clunk. The MIDI jingles when you win? Cheesy perfection.

Game Overview

I picked up The Las Vegas EGA Casino Version 2.0 as part of a big MS-DOS Classic Games collection. It was published by Merit Software, I think, and it fits right in with that era of straightforward, menu-driven entertainment you'd find on a floppy disk. It doesn't try to be anything more than a digital casino simulator, and that's exactly its charm.

You control a cursor to navigate the casino floor, moving from game to game with the arrow keys. The main objective is just to build your starting cash by playing the available games. You'll spend time at blackjack tables making hit or stand decisions, pull the virtual lever on slot machines watching for matching symbols, and try your hand at video poker for a more strategic challenge. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with a real focus on the mechanics of each individual game rather than any overarching story. It feels like having a quiet, low-stakes gambling hall right on your desktop.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
