I remember picking up The Munsters from the 0 MS-DOS Classic Games collection years ago. It was developed by Rare and published by Hi-Tech Expressions, a pretty typical licensed game from that era. You control the whole Munster family, each with their own abilities, which was a neat idea for a platformer back then.
You switch between Herman, Lily, Grandpa, and Eddie to get through each stage. Herman smashes through walls, Lily floats over gaps, Grandpa zaps enemies with his ray gun, and Eddie crawls into small spaces. The goal is to rescue Marilyn from a haunted mansion, which means a lot of screen by screen exploration and item collecting. The pacing is slow, the controls are stiff, and some jumps require pixel perfect timing. It feels exactly like playing through a low budget, slightly awkward episode of the show.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
