Ever played a fighting game where the stage is just as deadly as your opponents? That’s The Outfoxies—a chaotic arcade brawler where you’re dodging falling chandeliers, exploding barrels, and whatever else the level throws at you while trying to punch the other guy into oblivion. It’s got this weird, almost cartoonish charm, like someone took a John Woo movie and cranked the absurdity up to 11.
You pick from these oddball assassins (my favorite’s the old lady with a machine gun in her purse), and then it’s pure mayhem. One second you’re fighting on a sinking ship, the next you’re getting chased by a runaway train. The controls are simple, but good luck mastering the timing—half the fun is figuring out how to weaponize the environment before it kills you first.
If you’ve got MAME set up, this one’s worth firing up just to see how bonkers arcade games got in the ‘90s.
