Remember that weird but cool cartoon The Pirates of Dark Water? This SNES game is basically a side-scrolling brawler where you play as Ren, Tula, or Ioz—each with slightly different stats, though they all punch, kick, and throw pirates the same way. The controls are simple (light attacks, heavy attacks, the usual), but the real challenge comes from Bloth’s goons swarming you while dodging random spike traps and bottomless pits.
It’s got that classic Final Fight feel, just with more pirate curses and less street gangs. The special attack drains your health when you use it, so you’ll save it for when you’re really swarmed. Honestly, the levels could use more variety, but smashing through waves of enemies while hunting for those Treasures of Rule still feels satisfying. Just watch out for those instant-death pits—they’re everywhere.
