Play Thunder Blade (Japan) Online
Pilot a helicopter, blast enemy vehicles and structures, dodge incoming fire, and navigate through stages in Thunder Blade on the Sega Master System.
Thunder Blade on the Sega Master System came out in 1988, developed and published by Sega. It was one of the early attempts to bring an arcade-style helicopter shooter home, and while it didn't quite match the arcade's intensity, it was a solid effort for the hardware at the time.
You pilot a combat helicopter through several stages, switching between an overhead view and a behind-the-craft perspective. Your goal is to destroy enemy vehicles and structures while avoiding their fire. The game uses a combination of free movement and auto-scrolling sections; you shoot with one button and drop bombs with another. The difficulty is steep, with enemy shots coming from all directions and limited continues. Playing Thunder Blade feels like a constant scramble to stay alive just a few seconds longer.
