You control a lone soldier who must fight through different historical eras, from prehistoric times to the distant future. Your main goal is to defeat the bosses in each time period to gather the pieces of a powerful medallion. The gameplay involves moving screen by screen, using a variety of weapons you pick up, like spears, bows, and eventually laser guns. The pacing is relentless, with enemies swarming from all sides, and the difficulty can be punishing if you don't manage your limited lives carefully.
