Time Trax for the Super Nintendo came out in 1994 from Malibu Games. It was one of those mid-90s action platformers that tried to blend sci-fi with time travel, a concept that felt ambitious on the system.
You control Darien, a time-traveling police officer, jumping and shooting through side-scrolling stages set across different eras. Your main goal is to hunt down fugitives who have escaped into the past, moving screen by screen through levels that change from futuristic cities to medieval castles. Key mechanics include a charge shot for your energy glove and a quick dash to evade attacks. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later areas. It feels like a race against the clock, with each era demanding quick reflexes and careful aim.
