Game Overview

Remember Tiny Toon Adventures? This NES game actually does the cartoon justice—way better than most licensed games from back then. You pick between Buster, Plucky, or Furrball, and each handles differently. Buster’s quick, Plucky’s floaty (weird for a duck, but okay), and Furrball... well, he mostly survives by running away, which feels oddly true to the show.

The levels are packed with little references—Montana Max tossing dynamite, Elmyra popping up to "love" you to death—and some stages get creative, like Plucky’s minecart ride that turns into pure chaos when the tracks start breaking. The music’s got that same bouncy energy as the cartoon, too. It’s not super hard, but there are moments (looking at you, Dizzy Devil boss fight) where you’ll retry a few times just to see the ridiculous animations again.

If you grew up with the show, it’s a nostalgia bomb. If not, it’s still a solid platformer with way more charm than it needed to have. Either way, watching Furrball panic-sprint never gets old.
