Game Overview

I first played Tiny Toon Adventures on the NES back in the early 90s, a Konami release from 1991. It was one of those licensed platformers that tried to capture the show's energy, and it fit right in with the era's flood of cartoon-to-game adaptations. You could tell it was aiming for that Saturday morning vibe, even if it didn't always hit the mark.

You control Buster Bunny, hopping through side-scrolling stages to rescue your kidnapped friends from Montana Max. The game uses a stage select map, letting you tackle levels in almost any order. Each character you free, like Plucky or Dizzy, gives you a new ability; Plucky throws plungers, for example. The levels are full of enemy weasels and obstacles that require quick jumps and careful timing. It's not an easy game, with some cheap hits and precise platforming that can frustrate. Playing it feels like a mix of cartoon fun and genuine NES challenge.
