Two signature mechanics define the experience: the tense mid-air refueling sequences, where you have to carefully match speed and altitude with a tanker, and the notoriously difficult carrier landing sequence that requires precise alignment and speed control. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving, especially during those non-combat procedures. It feels like a constant battle against the game's own stubborn controls as much as the enemy fighters.
