Game Overview

Toy Robot Force is one of those GBA games that slipped under the radar but absolutely shouldn’t have. You start off with this little squad of toy robots—like, actual wind-up, clanky-looking things—but they pack a serious punch. The first level drops you right into a kid’s bedroom turned warzone, dodging enemy fire while figuring out how to use each bot’s weird little abilities. One shoots lasers, another’s basically a rolling battering ram… it’s chaos, but the good kind.

The controls are snappy, which helps when you’re weaving between enemy shots or lining up a perfect counterattack. And the art style? Super vibrant, like someone took a Saturday morning cartoon and crammed it into a Game Boy. There’s something hilarious about watching these tiny robots dramatically explode into springs and screws when they get wrecked.

It’s got that “just one more try” energy—especially when you unlock new bots or find hidden upgrades tucked behind destructible furniture. If you ever wished Advance Wars had more chaotic, up-close action, this is your fix. Just don’t blame me when you lose an hour to it.
