Game Overview

Tristan – Solid State Pinball came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by LittleWing. It was one of those early digital pinball games that tried to capture the feel of a real table on a computer screen, back when that was still a novelty. The graphics were simple but clean, and it ran smoothly on the hardware of the day.

You control the flippers, trying to keep the ball in play and hit specific targets to score points. The main objective is to complete the table's missions, which involve hitting ramps and lit lanes in a particular order. Two signature mechanics are the multi-ball mode, which really tests your reflexes, and the way some targets change the layout or behavior of parts of the table. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be punishing if your shots aren't precise. It feels satisfying when you finally nail a tricky combo after several tries.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
