Trojan, released in 1986 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection and developed by Capcom, is a side-scrolling action game from an era when straightforward combat and simple objectives defined many PC titles. It doesn't try to overwhelm with complexity, instead offering a direct, almost gritty take on the post-apocalyptic brawler genre that was gaining traction at the time.

You control a lone warrior navigating a ruined city, using a sword for close attacks and a shield to block incoming projectiles from enemies like knife-throwing punks and flamethrower troops. The main goal is to fight through each linear stage, defeating a boss at the end of every level. Key mechanics include precise timing with the shield to deflect attacks and methodical, screen-by-screen advancement where enemies spawn in set patterns. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
