Game Overview

TRON: Evolution came out on PlayStation Portable in 2010, developed by Propaganda Games and published by Disney Interactive Studios. It was one of the few action-adventure titles on the system that tried to capture the visual style and atmosphere of the TRON universe, using the hardware to render its glowing, geometric environments. The game arrived during the PSP's later years, when developers were still experimenting with 3D action games on the handheld, and it stood out for its attempt to translate the films' distinctive aesthetic into a playable experience.

You play as Anon, a system monitor programmed to investigate a spreading corruption. Your main goal is to navigate the digital world, fighting enemies and platforming across vast, multi-tiered structures. Signature mechanics include light disc combat, which involves timing your throws and blocks, and free-running traversal that has you wall-running, jumping, and sliding across obstacles. The pacing is fairly brisk, though some sections demand precision and repetition. It feels like being part of a streamlined, mobile version of the Grid, where movement and combat flow together with satisfying rhythm.
