Okay, so Turok 2 on Game Boy Color is way more intense than you'd expect from a tiny cartridge. You play as this dude Joshua Fireseed, who's basically the latest in a line of dinosaur-hunting badasses. The controls take a minute to get used to—you’ve got your bow, some grenades, even a cerebral bore (which is as gross as it sounds).
It’s got that classic Turok vibe: jungles, weird alien temples, and enemies that explode in satisfying pixelated chunks. The levels are surprisingly big for a GBC game, and you’ll backtrack a lot to find keys and hidden stuff. Some of the platforming’s a little janky, but blasting raptors with a shotgun never gets old.
Honestly, it’s impressive how much they crammed in here—just don’t expect the N64 version’s graphics.
