Play Ultima : Runes of Virtue Online

Ultima: Runes of Virtue came out on the Game Boy in 1991 from Origin Systems. It was a time when portable RPGs were still pretty simple, and this one tried to bring a piece of the big Ultima world into your hands. You didn't get the full open world, but it captured the feel of those dungeon crawls in a compact form.

You control the Avatar, moving screen by screen through themed dungeons to collect the eight Runes of Virtue. Combat is straightforward; you swing your sword or shoot your bow at monsters that get in your way. The pacing is methodical, with careful exploration and some tricky enemy placements, especially later on. It feels like a thoughtful, condensed adventure where every room matters.
