Play Ultimate Spider-Man (J) Online
Swinging between pixelated skyscrapers feels surprisingly smooth, especially when you nail those last-second touchscreen dodges mid-fight. The Japanese voice acting adds charm while you hunt down hidden collectibles in this compact Spidey sandbox.

Game Overview
Ultimate Spider-Man on the DS nails that classic web-swinging feeling—even on a tiny screen. You start off with basic moves, but after a few missions, you're pulling off ridiculous mid-air flips between buildings like it's nothing. The touchscreen actually comes in handy for quick-time events, though I still fumbled a few times trying to tap fast enough during boss fights.
What surprised me was how much the Japanese version kept the same snarky Spidey dialogue (subtitled, obviously). Dodging cars while some goon yells at you in kanji is weirdly immersive. The city feels small compared to console versions, but they crammed in enough hidden collectibles and side stuff to make rooftop hopping worthwhile.
Just don't expect the graphics to hold up—this is peak 2005 DS chunky polygons. Still, something about thwipping past pixelated billboards never gets old.
