Play Uninvited on Msdos Online
You wake up in a wrecked car, your sister’s missing, and the only place to go is a haunted mansion where every click could mean solving a puzzle—or waking the dead. Those blocky ghosts still give me chills.

I first played Uninvited back in the late 80s, a 1986 release from ICOM Simulations that was part of that wave of early MS-DOS adventure games. It ran on machines where the graphics were a collection of chunky pixels and the sound was a series of simple beeps, but it used that limited tech to build a genuinely spooky atmosphere. You weren't saving a kingdom; you were just trying to find your brother in a place that felt deeply wrong.
You control a cursor to interact with the world, moving screen by screen through the mansion, picking up items, and trying to solve environmental puzzles to progress. The main objective is straightforward: find your brother and get out alive. Signature mechanics include a persistent inventory of found objects you must use in creative ways and a magic system where you collect and combine runes to cast protective spells. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with a high difficulty stemming from the game's willingness to let you make fatal errors. It feels like being trapped in a low-budget horror movie where every wrong move has a consequence.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
