Game Overview

VGA Sharks was part of the 0 MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation that bundled various titles from the early 1990s PC gaming scene. It was developed and published by a small studio whose name doesn't carry much recognition today, but the game fits right into that era of simple, focused gameplay built for systems running DOS. You boot it up, and you're immediately met with a straightforward interface and that distinct, limited color palette typical of VGA graphics from the time.

In VGA Sharks, you control a cursor to match and grab cards from a grid, competing against a computer opponent that plays with a sharp, sometimes frustrating intelligence. The main objective is to clear the board by finding pairs faster than your rival, all while a timer steadily counts down, adding a layer of urgency to every move. Signature mechanics include the strategic decision of which cards to flip when, managing your limited view of the board, and the risk of leaving easy matches for the AI to snatch. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably as you progress, making later rounds a genuine test of memory and speed. It feels like a tense, satisfying battle of wits where every correct match brings a small wave of relief.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
