Vikings: Fields of Conquest came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Interceptor Software and published by Empire Interactive. It was a strategy title from that era when games often demanded patience and careful planning, fitting right in with other thoughtful, map-based experiences of the time.
You control Viking chieftains, managing resources and moving armies across a map of England to conquer territories. The main objective is to dominate the island through a mix of strategic planning and real-time battles. Signature mechanics include plotting raids, negotiating (or betraying) alliances with other factions, and directing troops in combat scenarios that play out in real time. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
