Game Overview
Vixen is one of those classic MS-DOS platformers where you’re constantly racing against the clock. You play as this whip-wielding heroine who dashes left to right, smacking enemies and grabbing gems before time runs out. At first, I thought the whip was kinda weak, but then I realized you can actually upgrade it—those fox head tokens hidden around each level are the key.
If you collect enough of them by the end, she transforms into a fox and drops into this secret underground area. That’s where things get interesting: mega gems boost your score, and weapon upgrades turn your whip from a limp noodle into something actually useful. Just don’t get too greedy down there—you still gotta finish the main level before time’s up.
It’s simple, fast, and weirdly satisfying once you get the rhythm of it.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
