Play Where in Space is Carmen Sandiego Online
Hop in your clunky rocket, chase Carmen’s crew across the solar system, and grill suspicious aliens before they swipe another moon—just don’t run out of fuel mid-interrogation.

Where in Space is Carmen Sandiego came out in 1993 as part of Broderbund's classic MS-DOS lineup. It was a time when educational games tried to be more than just quizzes, wrapping lessons in a decent layer of adventure. This one took the familiar Carmen formula and shot it into orbit, swapping city maps for planetary systems and historical trivia for facts about space.
You play an ACME detective piloting a ship from planet to planet, tracking Carmen's henchmen by gathering clues about their next destination. The core loop involves landing on a world, questioning locals about the suspect's appearance or ship, then using your solar system almanac to interpret those clues and plot a course. Getting a detail wrong, like mistaking a Kuiper Belt object for a moon, wastes precious fuel and can strand you. The pacing is deliberate, built on reading and deduction rather than quick reflexes. It feels like being a rookie space cop, where success depends more on your notebook than your thrusters.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
