Play Wind in the Willows Online
You play as Mole getting dragged into adventures—rowing downriver, crashing Toad’s motorcar, and poking at puzzles while the pixel art nails that storybook charm.

Wind in the Willows was released in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Dylan Cuthbert. It's a side-scrolling adventure that fits right in with the mid-90s PC platformer scene, drawing directly from Kenneth Grahame's book. The game doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it stands out for its faithfulness to the source material and its gentle, story-driven approach.
You control Mole, and later other characters like Rat and Badger, navigating through a series of interconnected screens. The main goal is to help Toad Hall and its inhabitants by solving environmental puzzles, avoiding hazards like weasels and stoats, and occasionally engaging in simple action sequences, such as rowing a boat or piloting Toad's disastrous car. The pacing is relaxed, with an emphasis on exploration and light interaction rather than combat or complex challenges. It feels like wandering through a living storybook where every screen holds a small, quiet surprise.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
