Play Wrath of the Demon Online

Wrath of the Demon came out in 1991 for MS-DOS, published by ReadySoft. It was one of those side-scrolling action games that tried to stand out with detailed graphics and a dark fantasy setting, typical of the era when developers were pushing what PCs could do visually. You play as a warrior named Dakar, sent to defeat the evil demon Malgorth and rescue a kidnapped princess.

You control Dakar through screen-by-screen environments, fighting monsters with a sword or a bow. The main goal is straightforward: survive each area, defeat bosses, and progress toward the final confrontation. Signature mechanics include switching between weapons on the fly, navigating environmental hazards like pits and spikes, and occasional horseback riding sections that change up the movement. The pacing is relentless, with enemies swarming constantly, and the difficulty can feel punishing if you aren't careful with your health and timing. It feels tense and demanding, where every mistake costs you.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
