Game Overview

Xenon 2: Megablast is one of those shooters that sticks with you—mostly because of how weirdly alive it feels compared to other space games. You start off blasting through these organic-looking alien worlds, dodging tentacle things and weird floating creatures, then suddenly you're in mechanical hell fighting drones and turrets. The shift is jarring in the best way.

What I love is the shop system—after wrecking enough enemies, you get dumped into this grimy little upgrade screen called Colin's Bargain Basement (yes, really). You're never quite sure if you should save up for the big guns or grab an extra health bar now. And sometimes you'll find power-ups mid-level, floating there like a nice little surprise.

Oh, and pro tip: hold down to reverse scroll. You'll need it when you hit those maze sections and realize you just flew into a dead end with three bosses on your tail. The music's a banger too, if you're into that late-80s electronic vibe.
