Play XR 35 Fighter Mission Online
1988 Amiga horizontal shooter. Pilot XR-35 fighter, battle enemy ships and capital ships. Collect weapon, shield, and speed upgrades. Features boss fights with unique attack patterns.

I first played XR 35 Fighter Mission on the Amiga back in 1988. It was developed by Discovery Software and published by MicroDeal, arriving during a time when the Amiga was full of ambitious shooters. The game didn't try to reinvent the genre, but it offered a solid, straightforward experience that felt right at home on the platform.
You pilot the XR-35 fighter through a series of side-scrolling levels, engaging waves of enemy ships and larger capital vessels. Your main goal is to survive each stage and defeat the boss waiting at the end. Key mechanics include collecting power-ups to enhance your weapons, shields, and speed, along with learning the distinct attack patterns of each boss. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, especially in later stages. It feels tense and demanding, requiring quick reflexes and careful positioning to succeed.
