Play Zero Gravity Online
1988 Amiga action game. 3D Pong-style gameplay with split-screen multiplayer. Players control bats to volley a ball, using power-ups like speed boosts and point steals. Features AI opponents.
Zero Gravity came out for the Amiga in 1988 from EAS Software. It was one of those games that felt right at home on the platform, pushing the hardware with its smooth visuals and clever use of the machine's capabilities. While many games of the era focused on platforming or shooters, this one offered something a bit different, a fresh take on a familiar concept that stood out for its technical execution.
You control a paddle, or bat, on a split-screen playing field, volleying a ball back and forth against an opponent. The main goal is simple: score points by getting the ball past the other player's paddle. The twist comes from the zero-gravity environment, which alters the ball's trajectory in unpredictable ways, and the inclusion of power-ups that drift into play. These modifiers can speed up your paddle, steal points from your rival, or change the ball's behavior entirely. Matches are fast and require quick reflexes, with the difficulty ramping up noticeably against skilled human opponents or cunning AI. Playing it feels like a constant, fluid dance of anticipation and reaction, where every shot matters.
